.licensed to drive, baby.

Yup, folks, you heard the best of it, I am now the proud recipient of a G2. I passed the test at 4:40 pm, nailing things like parallel parking and turning left onto Monaghan road from Lansdowne street, all without killing my evalulator or causing her to panic. Sweet. Now it's just a matter of convincing my Dad that I can, indeed, drive, and finding out what kind of financial responsibilty I need to shoulder in order to be able to drive my parents' vehicles occasionally. I'd like to buy a car from them at some point, but rent and school must come first. And maybe a motorcycle. Those are cool.
What else? I found the elusive Rainbow flag. Thanks, Desiree and Dahn. My mother is not pleased with me.
"Do you really think it would be wise to fly that...thing... outside your tent?"
"I suppose I'll guage that when I get there."
"You need to give your head a shake."
"Sure thing, Mom."
And I also had a good talk with Carlo Raponi today about treeplanting. He's stoked about me going...and unlike everyone elese I've encountered, seems to think that I have a tangible shot at success. Sweet. He wrote me up a useful list of tips and to-dos. They are as follows.
1) if you can make it past the first 2.5 weeks....you'll be fine.
2) You will come back tough as nails...NO. tough as the New Kids on the Block.
3) Before you can really start planting well...you must break.
4) stay hydrated.
5) STAY OUT OF BOYS' TENTS!
Thanks a tonne, Carlo. I look forward to mental breakdown and backwoods celibacy. :) I'm more stoked than pie, actually.
