Oh, good folk, what can a girl do with a deliciously hand dyed, hand spun ball of wool? I got it for Christmas from Meaghan long ago, and it's been staring at me prettily from a drawer ever since. It screams "Crochet me! knit me! Bitch, Do something!" Well, I want to, but you see, there's not very much of this wool. It is only one ball. Any suggestions? It needs to be something unique and cool, too. So that the girls in fine arts all come up to me and tell me how awesome I look and where did I get my pretty hand dyed ____? Oh fashion slaves...
I just got my djembe yesterday. This baby broke the bank, but oh my, I've just fallen in love. I'm sure that anyone who has ever bought a guitar would feel the same way. I was intimidated by the selection available, but after much playing and cajoling by Chris, I settled on an oversize Guinea drum, with a dark coloured goatskin and rough scraping. It has basic carving and smooth insides. It tone, in my opinion, would make the angels sing. I was walking around kensington with it, and this beautiful rasta aquaintance of mine shouted for me to come play. I was far too shy.
OH. and the original uni-clam that is posted on Meags blog? It's a piece of graffitti in kensington. You can all see it. I kid you not. I just about screamed.

Djembes are cool! I totally know what you mean! But I don't have one. [sigh]
Oh well.
Handspun wool eh? What about making (I suggest knitting) a narrow scarf, and making it about as long as you can, with a large needle, so it's kinda loopy and soft. Then you can use it as a scarf or a belt....it's a fashion thing I do, and i like it a lot...but if you don't want to do that, it's your choice. I'll still love you. :)
Luv,
Jolene
