.tiny trees alone to grow.

.and all the planters have gone home.

That's right, I'm back in Peterborough for a scant few days. Desi, invite me over NOW!:) the bus ride home was decent, I forced myself to sleep for about 90% of it. Funny story: I made it to the Toronto bus terminal. I was sitting on my bags, wearing workboots, orange toque, filthy army pants, and a purple plaid parka from Sally Anne's. A smiling woman came up to me and said "I have something for you," and pressed a five dollar bill into my hand. "Now you can grab something to eat." Yup...I was that shady looking. Upon seeing me, my mother gasped, threw me almost immediately into the shower...where black water rolled off me for a good ten minutes. I'm still not clean.
Good news! Somewhere between a duff swamp and the top of a mountain, I lost forty pounds. I am now wearing a skirt I havent been able to slide on in a year or more. This whole treeplanting thing...I know now that my body can do a lot of things. I picked up some good habits in the bush, like drinking 4L of water a day and eating small servings of good food. Hopefully I can extend that to my next job.

Now, for sleep in a bed and tomorrow's laundry.
