.fun in the district

On Saturday night, I was invited by Conor to go out to the Queer village, in order to dance and meet his other friends. I had a blast, albeit one that was punctuated by culture shock. Conor took me to the AIDS memorial when we decided to walk down to the club, and I'm so glad he did. For those of you who haven't seen it, you must. Powerful stuff.
After that, we went to Buddies. Most people know that I do not normally dance. But when I got there I barely stopped dancing for four hours, and I can't wait to go back. I felt so comfortable. Plus, Conor can dance. Not just "I can bob somewhat with the beat" dance. DANCE. And so much fun was had as a result.
I am grateful for the introduction on Conor's part. I think it was pretty special.
