. good things come.

Sometimes, I night just clicks.
I was at a party, and having a surprisingly good time. All my school friends were there, along with many I hadn't seen in a while. I wasn't planning on going, but I optimistically packed up my remaining 1/3 bottle of bailey's and resolved to show. It was a sweet night of socializing, decent music, and one generous event that will sustain me for weeks, I know.
The party was at a lull, and I was getting tired. I guess I was starting to show that despondant look I've been moping around with for days, because Leeanne approached me almost immediately, and shyly asked if she could play with my hair. My hair is a greasy mop under a toque tonight, with flour still at the scalp from my halloween costume, but I agreed. She pulled off my toque, and began playing, scratching, massaging my scalp. She didn't stop for five minutes. I felt myself beautifully reduced to a smiling, stress-free puddle. Then she pulled off my jacket and massaged my back for a half hour straight. When I was so satisfied as to be past movement, she slipped a Crispy Crunch (my favourite!) into my hand. Then she moved onto the person beside me. It was in a quiet side room, and over the next half hour I saw her repeat the ritual with all the stressed, tired persons around me.
It should be said that I don't know Leeanne all that well. This gift of hers was the best and most timely I could have received.
Have a sweet weekend, friends. Tell me all about it come Monday.
