I am currently in my uncle's house, beautifully situated on the Nechako river, surrounded by trees. My aunt kindly left me her car so I can galavant all day in Prince George. There is one problem: I'm afraid to touch the door knob to leave. You see, the house is alarmed. I was given the simple drill last night as to how to use it, and I figured I shouldnt have a problem. So I went outside today, coded my password, went to the garage. Touched the doorknob, and the alarm went off. Loudly. I ran back in, coded the password to make it stop. Alarm company calls, I give them a passcode. I thought that was it. I made my way outside, passcoding all the way, and nothing happened for twenty minutes. Then from the riverbank, I hear an earsplitting alarm. I run back, and passcode ten times to get back in, and eventually shut the alarm off. I The neighbours came. "Who are you? I'm calling Alton" said one neighbour. My uncle explained.
But the alarm company hasn't called yet, and I think that means the cops are coming. Prince George might have to wait until someone opens the door for me.

hey babe. I feel terrible about our quickie goodbye... I think I thought I'd see you again before you headed off.

Enjoy the lovely british columbia, which I miss so much. And enjoy your odd house arrest...

Wow! That's a lot of security! I hope that at least if you're trapped, you feel safe. Although I wouldn't like to feel trapped like it seems you could be feeling. You did make me smile though. It's a shame to waste a day of car use on being scared to touch the doornob too. I'm so sorry. Have a great summer tree-planting though! Love you!
