Feeling pretty good this evening. Had a wonderful shopping trip with Sunnaz and Hannah. Can I expound on the virtues of Hannah? She's a truly wonderful person, an orthodox jew. She is patiently and excitedly teaching me about Kosher foods and cooking. She also laughs at my utter ignorance of jewish culture...which would be embarrassing except that she's so sweet. For instance, I pulled a huge bag of mini chocolate bars with hebrew all over the package. "Look! Kosher Halloween candy!" I beamed proudly, having recognized the symbol for the israeli council of rabbis. Hannah looked at me shocked, then laughed. Then told me that I'd stated an oxymoron...silly Shannon, Halloween is for Pagans, not the people of God.
Tonight in my fridge, I have
bottled water
spaghetti sauce
2 plantains
3 avocados
havarti, brie, and cream cheeses
1 onion
rice dream, chocolate soy milk, and 2%
11 eggs.
mom's jam.
In my pantry I have campbell's soup, crackers, pasta, oatmeal and peas. I shan't starve. Muchos gracias to the house of Rick and Thom for introducing me to the glory of plantains. Can't wait to cook.

this post made me laugh. My cupboards are filled with peanut butter and... not that much else. Some rice and tofu, oh and some soymilk from mum.
It is shopping day. I must admit. Vegan shopping day! I must go put on my cape.
