.Vegan Fridays

I have made a dietary decision. From now on, on Fridays I will eat vegan food only. I'm pretty excited. Living on a meal plan means vegetarianism is simple, but living is a vegan is nearly impossible. I tried for a week or so, but eventually the lack of choices and sound nutrition drove me back to vegetarianism. But Meaghan had a sound suggestion, that perhaps I should try to be vegan for one day of the week. I picked Fridays. So far, having looked over campus for my options, I've compiled this little list of edible vittles.
1) Hummus in Pita
2) Falafel in pita
3) Tabouleh (delicious salad made from parsley, bulgur and tomatoes)
4) kappamaki
5) miso soup
6) Tofu Salad
7) Veggie chili from the Absinthe pub
8) lentil soup
9) Various Veggie entrees from the Indian place, they're not very dairy dependant.
10) Veggie sub sans cheese from Subway

Wow, I have more options than I once thought. I could practically make this happen for two days of the week. I need to check the status of the veggie burgers and dogs on campus, I'm not sure whats in them. The japanese place also has tempting spring rolls and potato fritters, but again, I need to check. Heck, fries are vegan. Somebody get me some soynog.

All you vegans make me want to go eat a steak...

Mmmm... steak.

Now that I'm done pissing you off... I'd totally be a vegetarian if I could pull it at my house. But alas, my parents are meatetarians. The vegan thing would never work. I like leather goods too much for that.
