It's been a very good day.
I went home late last night after an excellent Women's Studies class. I am used to taking the greyhound, and the late night bus to Peterborough often carries random people that I went to elementary school with, see in cafes, etc. Tonight, I looked over, and the bus was carrying Thom and Elyse, two of my favourite people ever. So, the ride I earmarked for bored sleep became a catch-up party. Some quick sleep and shower later, and I head off to Cossar's to model for life drawing. I love that job. It's very physically challenging, uses all my muscles, and pays well. I feel like a goddess for hours afterward. Today, a retired gentleman named Arthur drew me wonderfully. Another man, Adam, drew me with three backrolls that I know I don't have. It evens out, you see...
Post class, I headed to the bus to get back to Toronto for my class. Dahn and Elise are there, and whom should show up, but my twin sister! So the bus I earmarked for bored sleep again became a chat session. My music lesson upon my return to York was very constructive (Rita di Ghent rules, google her). Then the scary job interview came. I don't like job interviews much...my hands get clammy. I nailed this thing. Mid interview, when I was doing a mock telephone survey, my future supervisor smiled and said "That's excellent! You're a natural!" She offered me the job shortly after. No words can say how much this pleases and excites me. I have training this weekend, which amounts to a hundred dollars straight off the hop. My starting wage is nine dollars per hour. Sweet, glorious yes. Now it's nine pm and I am totally wiped. I'll take wiped and happy any day of the week.
