It's been a very good day.
I went home late last night after an excellent Women's Studies class.  I am used to taking the greyhound, and the late night bus to Peterborough often carries random people that I went to elementary school with, see in cafes, etc.  Tonight, I looked over, and the bus was carrying Thom and Elyse, two of my favourite people ever. So, the ride I earmarked for bored sleep became a catch-up party.  Some quick sleep and shower later, and I head off to Cossar's to model for life drawing.  I love that job.  It's very physically challenging, uses all my muscles,  and pays well.  I feel like a goddess for hours afterward.  Today, a retired gentleman named Arthur drew me wonderfully.  Another man, Adam, drew me with three backrolls that I know I don't have.  It evens out, you see...
Post class, I headed to the bus to get back to Toronto for my class.  Dahn and Elise are there, and whom should show up, but my twin sister!  So the bus I earmarked for bored sleep again became a chat session.  My music lesson upon my return to York was very constructive (Rita di Ghent rules, google her).  Then the scary job interview came.  I don't like job interviews much...my hands get clammy.  I nailed this thing.  Mid interview, when I was doing a mock telephone survey, my future supervisor smiled and said "That's excellent!  You're a natural!"  She offered me the job shortly after.  No words can say how much this pleases and excites me.  I have training this weekend, which amounts to a hundred dollars straight off the hop.  My starting wage is nine dollars per hour.  Sweet, glorious yes.  Now it's nine pm and I am totally wiped.  I'll take wiped and happy any day of the week.
